This classic 4-Player Fireball Pinball Machine was released by Bally Pinball Manufacturing in 1972 and is considered one of the most iconic pinball machines of all time. Fireball was one of the first pinball machines to feature 2-ball multi-ball by locking the ball in either of the saucer holes on opposite sides of the playfield. In addition Fireball has mushroom bumpers, a challenging skill-shot, outlane kickback, a spinning disk in the center of the playfield and it has Zipper Flippers which open and close the gap between the flippers depending upon certain lit targets hit on the playfield.
MOVIE CAMEO:
Dazed and Confused, the 1993 film by Richard Linklater that chronicles the last day and night of high school in 1976 for a group of suburban Texas teenagers features a Bally Fireball Pinball Machine in the movie. As Wooderson (Matthew McConeughey), Pink and Mitch enter the Emporium Pool Hall, a Fireball Pinball is being played in the movie showing the games multi-ball action and the zipper flippers closing in this memorable seen in the movie. .
CONDITION:
We acquired this machine from a local pinball collector that had this machine restored a few years back. During that restoration he had the entire cabinet sanded and repainted by Pinball Restorations out of California. The game was properly color matched including the splatter over the base coat. The cabinet has a few minor scuffs but presents very well. Backglass is flawless! In addition the game was completely gone through and overhauled mechanically. Pop bumpers were rebuilt with new skirts, bodies and pop bumper caps, new plastic set installed and the game was upgraded to LED lighting.
Since taken into our possession we have removed all components from the top side of the playfield and cleaned and polished the playing surface and installed new rubber rings throughout. Original playfield shows minimal wear that is to be expected on a machine that is now 54 years old.
Included with this machine is a nicely bound copy of the owners manual, schematics and an exploded diagram of the zipper flipper assembly with part numbers.

PLEASE NOTE: FIREBALL works great! We encourage any prospective buyer to please visit our store and see and play this game in person. Often times, electro-mechanical machines need to be adjusted after transport due to their age and nature. With that being said, no warranty is offered with this machine and it is sold "as-is".
This is truly an iconic piece of pinball history and the first one of these to ever come through our doors. Don't delay, we don't expect this to last long in our inventory.
