Black Knight was one of the most successful pinballs ever made in 1980 with 13,075 games produced in 7 months and equally is one of the most requested classic titles customers ask us about. Designed by famed pinball designer, Steve Ritchie, Black Knight is an innovative game for its time due to its multi-level playfield, synthesized speech, multiball and the industries first ever "Magna-Save" where the player can push the second button on the side of the cabinet that enables a magnet to save the ball from draining down the outlanes and directing the ball to the return flipper lanes.
Due to the success of Black Knight, a small batch of 600 games were produced entitled - "Black Knight - Limited Edition" in 1981 baring the Limited Edition decal and microswitches within the ball lock assembly.
CONDITION:
This spectacular example of Black Knight "Limited Edition" comes to us on consignment from a local collector. This game is in outstanding condition. Minor touchups have been done to the cabinet and the exterior armor has been polished. The playfield(s) are original and show very little wear. Both fields have been shopped out with new rubber rings, balls, new drop target decals and the entire machine has been upgraded with premium LED lights. Finally a new high quality mirrored reproduction Black Knight backglass has been installed on this machine as the originals didn't age well.
Our technician has went through this machine making sure all aspects of the game are operating properly as they should.
